Allulose is classified as a natural 'rare sugar'. Figs, beets, corn, and raisins have small quantities of allulose. As it's a natural sweetener, it has the mouthfeel of sugar but "at least 90% is excreted by the kidneys without being metabolized. This means that in a functional sense, allulose has 95% fewer calories than sucrose and is why the FDA determined in 2019 that it does not need to be listed under total or added sugar." So you get to experience the sweetness, but not the negative health effects of conventional sugars.

No guilt anymore

I’m addicted to chocolate. LOL. I used to buy the “chocolate bars” from Walmart by the bagful despite knowing all that sugar is bad for me. At 57, I have decided to take a closer look at what goes in my belly to make sure I’m taking better care of myself. With this new find, pure cacao bars, I don’t have to worry about all the chemicals and sugars that are being dumped into me anymore. This actually gives me peace of mind and soothes my craving for something sweet. The chocolate, can I call it, chocolate???, from Embue Cacao, is so good!!!! It’s clean, pure, tastes great, and I love it. It’s a little pricey but I’m a firm believer you get what you pay for. I’m enjoying these bars very much. It’s like a delicacy after dinner or lunch. Thanks! I wish the very best and I hope your business is completely successful!!!!!

Excellent Chocolate Bars

I recently ordered both of the chocolate bars to get an idea of the flavor profiles since I knew I wanted to order some ceremonial cacao in bulk. The quality was exceptional and both had a lovely taste. My favorite was the cacao from Uganda. Thank you for this quality product! It's appreciated.

Incredible Tasting Chocolate!

I am so happy with my purchase, it is delicious!

Mouth Watering Cacao!

Amazing beans from Semuliki Forest in Uganda, with depth of flavor, rich chocolate notes and low bitterness.

Perfectly roasted in micro batches to bring out the big bold rich cacao.

Finely ground for a silky smooth texture.

Sweetened with allulose an all natural sweetener. Just a bit so the cacao flavors shine though.

Perfectly Tempered so you hear that SNAP! When you break off a piece.

Changed the way I think about chocolate bars!

This was better than any candy bar I ever ate in the past. The allulose seeetener was mild and I could really enjoy the depth of the cacao flavor.-Stephanie B.

Love this bar, so pure and delicious

I was so pleased to realize that the sweetener is all natural, and NOT white/cane sugar. I love that it is blood sugar and digestion sensitive, and planet-kind. -Averell Manes

Keto friendly, no sugar!

Finding chocolate with no sugar that actually tastes good is a blessing -Ann-Claire

Best Cacao bars ever

This is some of the best cacao ever.. I love it more than just chocolate you would buy in the stores. I had a friend suggest you. Great recommendation -Connie C.

No Sugar, No Seed Oil

Sugar contributes to:
~ Blood sugar spikes
~ Weight gain
~ Cavities
~ Nutrition deficiencies

Seed oils are:
~ Loaded with agrochemicals
~ Most are GMOs
~ Most are heated creating carcinogens
~ Huge environmental effects

Why we love our allulose sweetener

  • Allulose is natural - You've eaten lots of it already, as its in figs, beets, and corn.
  • Almost zero calories - As its a rare sugar you body doesn't process it and it is mostly excreted
  • No blood sugar spikes - As its mostly not absorbed into you blood stream, there is no blood sugar spikes
  • Great Taste - Same mouth feel as cane sugar - about 70% as sweet by weight
  • No microbiome damage or bloating - Artificial sweeteners are not good for the digestive
  • No tooth decay - Cane sugar causes tooth decay but not allulose

No blood sugar spikes and crashes!

We wanted to make sure that the Cacao Bar with allulose will not cause any blood sugar spikes, so tested it.

Pure Cacao Flavor

Semuliki Forest, Uganda

In western Uganda, lies the town of Bundibugyo, in the foothills of the Rwenzori mountain range. Here, thousands of smallholder farmers are using "absurdly tasty chocolate as a tool for creating local jobs and sustainably improving incomes for smallholder cocoa farmers throughout Uganda". Moses & Chris

Brothers with a love of cacao! Years into the Embue journey, Chris sent his little bro some interesting research on a new sweetener, allulose, and the idea was born of creating an eating bar. To share the wonders of cacao more widely while still retaining all the health benefits!
