Embodying Love - Cacao Magic
It's rare that human beings come together for 3 days and over the course of that time, connect deeply, experience magic and leave overflowing with love. That’s exactly what happened with Embodying Love, our 3-day cacao ceremony training that took place June 7-9, 2019.
We gathered in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Colorado with the intention to truly embody love as deeply as possible. Between the magic of cacao, the container we set and the willingness of our group, we went there.
The retreat was co-facilitated with Rachel Askelson of Radiant Moments, a truly wonderful human being! Our synchronistic meeting set that stage for sharing over 15 years of combined experience with cacao and blending a wide variety of modalities into a powerful journey into the heart. We danced, meditated, connected with the natural world, journeyed and shared from the heart.
Although learning about cacao and how to share its medicine with others was what brought us together, on a deeper level it was cacao calling us into our hearts and sharing that space with others. Through vulnerability, connecting with our gifts and witnessing each other, we all, facilitators included, tapped into the deep well-spring of love that flows through us.
A week after the retreat as I write this, I feel blessed to both have cacao in my life and to have had the opportunity to invite others into the gentle, heart-centered space it creates for us. As I’ve watched the modern cacao ceremony movement truly take off in the west over the past decade, it is a gift to teach others the power of this medicine and to really have the time a retreat affords us to explore its full potential, both subtle and not-so-subtle!
I’m looking forward to continuing to offer in-depth training experiences and go beyond just an evening cacao ceremony so that we can see what’s truly possible when we embody love together and create beauty and magic in the world!
